    So long, Uncle Paul.
As a child Paul was like a mentor to me . I would ask him everything about engines, and anything to do with Hot Rodding. He helped me get old scooters running, and in addition, he was like a son to my Dad, Jim Chilando.
Everybody knew when I was growing up that a transmission by “Uncle Paul”, would get you there and back .

    Mike Chilando,

I first met Paul as a police officer at engine 16 and then got to know Bubba. I’m very sorry for the Tant family. Their loss is my loss in knowing such a great man as Paul .

For some reason I had nickname Mr. Tant ( Papa Smurf). What I remember the most about him is he always had a smile on his face. Truly genuine. I am glad to have know such a person.
