BLAYLOCK, James "Popeye", Passed away on August 27, 2010. Preceded in death by his wife, Anna Belle Blaylock; parents, Robert and Evie Blaylock; brothers, Walter Blaylock, Herschel Blaylock, Bob Blaylock, and Morris Hogan. Survived by children, Melissa Dawson Nathan, Donna Blaylock devoted friend Tracy Patterson, Darwin Blaylock, Linda; grandchildren, Zachary and Courtney Blaylock; sister, Peggy Norris Charles; and many other family members. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday and 1hr prior to service on Monday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.     Just wanted to express how sorry I am for your loss. Popeye was a wonderful man, a great neighbor and a good friend who will be missed by many.

    I will miss Uncle Popeye so much. He loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren and somehow, he had enough love left to share with nieces and nephews. There will never be another like him.
