The world has lost a great man. He was my boss, a mentor, and a great advocate of all that worked with him. I am sad for our loss, but rest assured he has been made whole and is in great company. You will be missed Rich, by all that had the pleasure of calling you friend. My deepest sympathies to your family and loved ones during this time.

    To Richard’s beloved family,

I knew Richard for 8 years. He was a customer of ours here at Spacenet and we shared a common love which was motorcycles. We spoke often about one day riding together in the mountains of Tennessee. I have a group of friends who have been riding together in this area for over 25 years. I will be with them again the end of May riding around the mountains of East Tennesse. I will say a prayer for Richard and take some time to reflect on a wonderful human being who is no longer with us. May God comfort all of you during this difficult time.

There is not enough space to write all the kind and wonderful things Rich has done for DG, my team, and me personally. He was a great guy with a great smile but an even bigger heart. He will be greatly missed.

I worked for many years with Rich at IHG. He was extremely smart, and funny in a quiet way. But more than anything, he was someone you could go to for help anytime and he’d give it. My heart goes out to his family. I pray that God wraps his arms around you all and brings you comfort. Rich will truly be missed.

I’ve known Rich since 1984. We served in the US Army together in Korea and I considered him my best friend and like a brother to me. It is truly a sadder world without Rich in it. I will cherish all the great memories and stories we had. My deepest condolences go out to all of Rich’s family and friends of which I know he had tons of. Brian

Knowing Rich was available to provide leadership and advice made the job easy during these last four years plus. Wish I could have said this in person before he was gone, but thank you for everything Rich.

What can I say – just knowing Rich has meant so much to me. He has mentored me and always had my back when I needed his help! If I did not call him for a couple days – he would call me and say Karen – have not heard from you in a few days; how is everything going; do you need any help? Rich – I’m sure missing you this week –

I don’t even know where to start here, I have know Rich since the early days at OTI/MCI out in Redlands California then we moved here to Atlanta together to start a VSAT network for Holiday Inn IHG. I can remember some great times working on his jeep together and rolling it sideways down a mountain. Rich was a great mentor over the years and while we have not be in regular basis since moving to TN. We have talked about a bike ride in the future and I was really looking forward to getting back in touch with him. Truly a great guy and I know everyone he came in contact with will miss him. My deepest sympathy for his family, I know this is an extremely tough time for you but hopefully you can take comfort that Rich touched so many people’s lives in a great way thought-out his life. I will keep you and your family in our Prayers…

Richard was an exceptional person who was strongly respected by those of us who worked with him at DG. I always admired his professional and courteous manner when working with others. I’ll remember him most for introducing me to Pilates a couple of years ago as part of a workout regimen and proving to me that it was much harder than I thought. My prayers go out to his family and friends because he is a man who will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family at a time such as this. Rich was such a great business friend. I first got to know Rich at Holiday Inn and then when asked if I knew someone strong on technology by Bruce Ash at DG I thought of Rich right away. I always heard what a great addition Rich was to the DG team. Above all Rich was a wonderful man. We all have certainly lost a one-of-a-kind person but he has been asked to do more now. I will miss my conversations with Rich but he will never be forgotten in my heart.

My condolences to Rich’s family and close friends. It is especially hard to lose someone so young and full of life. Having worked with Rich for nearly eight years, I had admired his positive attitude, friendliness, balance and maturity. He was both a peer and an excellent role model. Rich will certainly be missed.
