Dabbs, Betty Jean McCormick-age 77 of Hendersonville, TN went home to be with the lord on April 17, 2013. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lois McCormick; sister, Barbara McCormick; brother, John McCormick. Mrs. Dabbs is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Sam Dabbs, Jr.; daughters, Lynn Dave Baker of Lakeland, FL and Kim Joe Dorris of Greenbrier, TN; grandchildren, Sammy & Shelby Dorris and Will & Christy Baker; and 3 great grandchildren. Betty was a past matron of Jere Baxter #343 Order of the Eastern Star in Madison, TN and the 1993 Grand Martha for the TN Grand Chapter. She retired in 2010 after 26 years of service from Sumner Regional Medical Center where she worked in the business office. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 20 at 12PM in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 Johnny Cash Pkwy, Hendersonville, TN 37075 with Rev. Randall Edmonson officiating and interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 4PM-8PM and Saturday from 10AM until Service time. 615 824-3855

    I am pretty sure that Mrs Dabbs is in heaven enjoying all the beautiful things God has to offer. I know she will be missed and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family. I will be praying for all of you. Lynn I am always here for you so anytime you need an ear just call me Love you!

    Betty my love, you were one of the dearest sweetest friends I ever knew. I am gonna miss you, but I know you are with God and smiling, so I do feel better. Your family has always been precious to me and God will ease their pain!

    Sam,Lynn, and Kim please accept my condolences. I really thought a lot of Betty and remember all the great times we had camping. I have been sick for a couple of days but hope to make it to the funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

    Sam, My sincere condolences to you and all of your family during this difficult time. Betty was a beautiful shining star in my life and The Order of the Eastern Star 1993 Grand Family. Words cannot express the love I have for her and her memory will live with me forever. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
