Bigham, David Michael, Jr., passed away suddenly September 22, 2014, survived by loving parents David Michael (Carol) Bigham of Sorrento; Susan Jones (Mark) Sievers, Altamonte Springs; brother Joseph Daniel (Fay) Bigham, Orlando; step-brother Jon (Ashley) Turnage, DeLand, nieces and nephew Jakob, Grace, and Sophia Rose Turnage; step-sister Kristy (Brett) MacLaughlin, Jacksonville; grandmother Geneva Bigham, Franklin, Tennessee; step-grandparents Charles R. and Mary R. Nunn, Orlando; Howard and Edrise Sievers, Venice. Also survived by extended family, Ronald (Kathleen) Jones, Richmond, Kentucky; Lainey Jones (Ray) Potts, Nashville; Thomas (Debbie) Jones, Nashville; Melanie Jones (Brad) Hogg, Knoxville, TN and cousins Rebecca and Andrew Jones, Kara Potts, and Susanna Hogg, aunt and uncle Sue and Lee Barr, Joelton; and beloved cat Zoe. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Flora Jones, and his grandfather Davis Lee Bigham.
David was born October 27, 1979 in Columbus, Georgia.
David will be missed with his larger than life presence and all 6’7” that all who knew him loved. He enjoyed nature, especially the mountains of Gatlinburg where he spent many yearly vacations with his father and grandparents. He was enthralled with the beauty of Alaska on a cruise with his mother and brother. The beauty and tranquility of the beach always brought him peace.
David studied television production and hoped to one day write a successful screenplay. He was an expert on movies, directors, producers, and actors. He was an avid reader who self-taught himself facts about history and civilizations.
David’s life included struggles that made him a stronger and more focused person. His positive attitude, sense of humor, and compassion toward his friends and family motivated and challenged him in his quest for happiness and success.
He was adept at finding and adopting stray animals, most recently a stray cat. He was so kind-hearted. David read and stayed aware of all the world news and was always questioning the senseless violence some people show toward each other.
David was thankful for, and knew that he had, unconditional love and support from his entire family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pet Rescue by Judy, Sanford, Florida.

David was surrounded by the most loving family that I have ever had the priviledge to know. As a life long friend to his Aunt Melanie, I was so fortunate to be at many of the Jones family gatherings and saw David grow into such a fine young man. My heart breaks for both the Jones and Bigham family. With All My Love, Barbara.

    Mike and Carol,
I did not know your son David, yet he obviously made a significant mark while living on this side of glory. I am one of Mike’s classmate from Marshall County and wanted to express my sympathies in the loss of his son. The Bible says “those who mourn shall be comforted!” May you gain comfort knowing that God’s grace and new mercies are showering you daily as you journey through this season of loss.
Know that many people are lifting up prayers for you to receive strength, just when you think things are unbearable!

    In Sympathy,
