CAROL JO DIXON 7/22/39-7/6/13 of Hendersonville, TN, shared her life, heart and love with her husband, Sam Dixon, for over fifty years. They have three children; their oldest a son, Danny Jenny Dixon, and twin girls; Sherri Mark Holmes and Terri Webb Rizor. She lived her life with a servant's heart and tremendous grace. To be a small woman physically, she had incredible strength.
She was blessed to have nine grandchildren; Sam, Jessica, and Julia Rizor, Taylor and Jonah Holmes, Tyler Dixon, Kim Dorris, Rob Kassidy Dorris, and Kelly Wes Jones. All of whom will never forget her. Some of her most treasured items were the memories of the time she spent with them.
She was the oldest of eight children born to Matthew and Dorothy Zorn in OH. She is survived by all of her siblings except her brother David, whom she looked forward to seeing again. She had an incredible faith which she loved to share with those she came in contact. Her faith gave her a depth of character to live out her life here and the certainty of where she was going.
She had the love and respect of her many brothers and sisters in-law. When she married into her husband's family, her family went from large to huge. She has over forty nieces and nephews; whose lives she also impacted.
There have been many people touched by the life of Carol Dixon. Her fingerprints can be seen all over the people she has come in contact through her love and active involvement in her church, Center Point General Baptist Church, and the organizations of Eastern Star and the Rainbow Girls.
She will be missed; she is loved, and she will not be forgotten.

Words can’t express what a true friend, mother figure, Christian mentor this lady was to me. Loved our trips to Sam’s wholesale and the countless lunches we would share fellowshipping. The words that I will ALWAYS treasure and keep close to my heart is: Don’t go borrowing trouble. Just rejoice in today. Something I will always try to live by. She was so brave all the way to the end. What an example of Christ she was to me. Such a servants heart. I will miss you my friend till I see you again. Love you so much. Jimmie Douglas

It was a joy to meet Carol when she and Sam came to visit Diane and Wayne in FL. We have been following her fight against cancer all these years and have greatly admired her strength and the deep love that she has had for her family. We know she was an exceptional person and is at peace with David in Heaven now.

Oh how Mrs. Carol is going to be missed. I loved, admired and cherished her. She always had a smile and kind word no matter what she was going through. She encouraged me in my walk with Jesus. She told me to take my troubles to the altar, give them to God and when I left the altar to not take them back with me. This is something that I try to do. I will certainly miss this beautiful lady! I love you Carol and will meet you again in heaven!

I was so glad to have met Carol, she was such an inspiration to me. One day I was able to sit with her for a few hours, we talked, laughed and had lunch together. That forever will be etched in my heart. You are now with our Lord. He will take very good care of you. Love you Carol
