DOWD, Reverend R.B. – Age 85 years, passed away November 14, 2012. He was a retired minister of the Church of the Nazarene for over 61 years, pastoring churches in TN & LA. Preceded in death by siblings, Janie Pippins, Mildred Neal and Dean Dowd. Survived by wife of 61 years, Faye Dowd; children, Gary Vickie Dowd, Stephen Gracie Dowd, Tim Gina Dowd, David Cassandra Dowd; grandchildren, Keith Michelle Dowd, Kevin Dowd, Mark Nicole Dowd, Marybeth Dowd, Derek Dowd, Drew Taylor Dowd, Callie Dowd, and Will Dowd; siblings, Mary Lou Taylor, John Dowd, and Ben Dowd. The Life Celebration service will be on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 11am, at the Whites Creek Church of the Nazarene, with Reverend Bernie Deffinger officiating. Interment will be at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-7pm, at the funeral home, and on Saturday from 10am until the service time at the church.

    Faye, Just wanted to let you know how sorry I am to hear of the pasing of the beloved Bro Dowd. He is now enjoying the fruits of his labors. I can just see him and mother and daddy rejoicing up and down the streets of Glory. I pray that God will hold you in the palm of His hand and I pray for comfort as well. Love you
