He was always a gentleman to me and taught me so much about spine surgery. I always liked the way his eyes crinkled when he laughed! His is a tremendous loss.

Dr B was an all around great orthopaedic surgeon, with a skilled hand a kind heart and a great sense of humor. He took care of my husband’s ortho needs for over 20 years, and became our friend as well. As an orthopaedic nurse, he was my colleague, and he will be dearly missed.

Dr B was my husband’s doctor and later became mine. In the 15 years he was not just a doctor but a friend . My children & I were so thankful for the care, love & compassion & friendship He always showed us. At the worse of time when my husband had been hospitalized at another hospital Dr B like an angel came on a Saturday morning did all the necessary things to get us transported to Baptist Midtown And took the best of care for my husband for the next 3 months of my husband’s life. He was my husband’s hero. He will be missed & I will never forget his friendship & the smiles and tears that we shared over the last 15 years . My thoughts & prayers go out to his beautiful family as well as his wonderful office staff.

We just got a letter informing us of Dr. Berk’s passing. So sorry to hear this. We thought a lot of him and my husband, his patient, had even talked about making an appointment “just to see him”!!

Over a 15-year period, Dr. Berk replaced both hips, both knees and performed 4 lumbar fusions. He and his staff were always to friendly to us.

Again so sorry to know this.

This was the nicest, and the best back doctor I have had. Never knowing very long but it was a very fine man, and knew what he was talking about.

I was so saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Berklacich. He was such a kind and compassionate surgeon and man.
I was an orthopedic patient of his in 2007, and my recovery was excellent. His nurse, Angela, was always so calm, kind,
and accommodating with information and return calls. The office staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional. It certainly is a great loss to the medical field. My prayers and thoughts go to the office staff, his daughter and her family,
his three sons, and Dr. Berk’s siblings, extended family, and many friends and patients.
