Ashland City/Pegram - Age 84, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2020. He was born January 12, 1936 in Dickson, Tennessee. His parents were the late Hershel Mason Potts and Cecil Brown Potts of Dickson.

He is survived by his devoted wife Janice Fisher Potts of 62 years; his loving family Kerri (Tim) Balthrop, Eddie (Linda) Potts, granddaughters, Rachel (Josh) Stewart, Lindsey Balthrop; grandsons, Brad (Hannah) Potts, Mitchell (fiancé, Marissa) Potts; great-grandchild Drake Mason Potts; sister Juanita Elder; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, in Pegram and Ashland City. He was a Mason and member of West Nashville Masonic Lodge and served as a member of the Tennessee Air National Guard. He was also a member of Cheatham County Master Gardeners. Throughout his life, he shared many interests with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dad’s caregivers for the past year at the Waters of Cheatham, for the continual loving care, attention and dedication. Also, to Hospice who were there for his final week’s journey.

Family and friends are invited to share memories during visitation from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Visitation will also take place Sunday, January 26, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. until the time the time of his Celebration of Life Service, which will be at 2:00 p.m. at West Harpeth Funeral Home Interment following at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ashland City United Methodist Church.

    I suppose it has been over 40 years since I visited with the Potts Family but I attended church at St. John’s UMC in my younger years. My folks were Vincent and Joann Long. I’m sorry for your loss.

    Life is so short, Turner impacted my life from high school on to
    our paths crossing at Pegram. lots of memories will remain. Kerri
    Eddie you have the memories and the assurance Turner had his
