My first real memory of Gary is perhaps the strongest. I went with my parents to Aunt Wanda and Uncle Tony’s house and Gary was there. The family had a cow – named “happy”. She was a big cow, especially for an 8-year-old girl. Gary put me on his shoulders and we walked out to the cow. He put me on her and I held on to her horns. I am not sure how long I was on her, but Gary made sure I was safe. He was very caring. I remember looking at him and thinking how handsome he was and wondering if you could marry your cousin.
Not many people can say they actually rode a cow.
That memory will be with me always. I am so blessed to have known him.

Hi Wendy and family, this is a flash from the past. I met Gary 35 years ago during softball practice where he was coaching our woman’s team. We all had a great summer that year. He was fun to be with and I am so happy you have been able to share the years with him. I heard about his passing from Lonnie Ward and just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and your family during this time. Many Blessings, Sincerely, Gail
