So sorry to hear of Chris’ passing, but he had suffered long enough . He is cele brating Christmas in Heaven with Jesus, his Lord whom he served so faithfully for so many years. My own sweet Mama went home to be with Jesus on His birthday, Dec.25, 2011 at age 95. We know where Chris is . We will be praying for you all . We love you and miss going to the mountains. God bless.

  6. Rev Terry Finnern says:

Dorothy. My name is Terry Finnern. I was a member of the 1974 graduating class of Concordia Theolical Seminary in Springfield. I noticed in the Lutheran Witness that Chris died on December 21. I am sure you do not remember me but I clearly remember Chris. His southern accent was something new to a Minnesota boy’s ears but his quiet, gentle, and loving voice always had a calming and inviting affect on me when we shared a few minutes on campus. I will always remember and will never forget how special those moments were for me. My heartfelt Christ filled condolences to you and your family.
