“G-Daddy” – Age 87, passed away November 23, 2015. Mort was a member of the Bellevue Church of Christ; He retired from the Ford Glass Plant after 39 years in the Plant Maintenance Department; N.R.A Life Member; N.R.A./ Second Amendment Task Force-Charter Member; Box 55 Association (Firebuff Member for 60 years); B.P.D.E. Lodge No. 72 through 3-31-06; Member of the Tennessee Fireman’s Association and a member of the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department; he was the great great nephew of Sam Davis, hero of The Confederacy. He is preceded in death by wife, Kathryn Sager. Beloved daddy of his daughters, Debbie Plunkett and Cheryl Arnold; grandchildren, Briana (Brian) Potter, Wesley (Shelly) Stinson, Jr., Christy (Hugh) Britt and Joey (Jenna) Eslick; great grandchildren, Savanna Stinson, Hannah Stinson, Archer Eslick, and Ava Eslick; step children, Will Fitzgerald and Ross Fitzgerald; close family friend, Don Curtis. A special thank you to friends and staff of Brookdale Senior Living Center in Bellevue. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 11:00am, at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
