LAWSON, Chlotele King, age 93. Went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2010. Preceded in death by husband, Binkley Lawson; sister, Frieda Smith; brother, Romal King; sisters, Eva King, Neva Cook. Survived by daughter, Lynne George Howell; nieces, Patricia Frey and Sara Haynes. Mrs. Lawson was a registered nurse and retired in 1984 from General Hospital. During her many years of retirement, she enjoyed traveling with the Nurse Alumnae, her traveling buddies and family. She took great pleasure in caring for children at Mother's Day Out. She was a long time devoted member of Western Hills Church of Christ. The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2010 at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Nashville Humane Society and Alive Hospice. Visitation will be Sunday 2-5 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m. until service time at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME 6962 Charlotte Pike 615-352-9400

    What a blessing to have known Chlotele all these years. She meant the world to me. I will miss her dearly. I met Lynne when I was 8 yrs old. Lynne has been like a sister to me as well. I will always be here for Lynne.

    I am so sorry to here about Great Aunt Chlotele’s passing! She was my Grandma Neva”s sister.I don’t remember her because we lived so far apart.My grandma and my mother Joyce spoke of her often and said she was the most sweetest most caring,Loving person alot like her mother Bessie was.I was trying to do some family genealogy when I came acrossed this notice.Again I am so sorry! My prayers and condolences to Family and friends.
