Matthew McCord Brown – Age 35, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. He is preceded in death by his father, William A. Brown, Sr. Survived by his mother, Judy Brown; brother, Chip (Kimberly) Brown; sister, Amanda Brown; and his nephew, Jacob Brown; extended family members, Richard Hall and Anne Walker; and a host of other family members.

Matthew loved to cook and go camping. He loved the ocean and his dogs. He was an active volunteer with Trevecca and Room In The Inn.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017, at 10:00am, at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, Garden of Cross, at 10:00am.

Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, January 29, 2017, from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike

    This really just breaks my heart life just sometimes seems so unfair i love you Matt for ever and always will have a place in my heart my brother for life i love you Matt you remember how was losing my son and wat i went thru at dc4 and you was one comforting me with your kind words give him a big hug and kiss on the cheek for me and tell him and my 5 yr old grandson i love them so much and i will always love you my friend fly high

    Matt you were the first friend I made when I started at Hillwood. You always made me laugh. Your absence will always be felt. I hope someday we will meet again.

    My sweet Matt if you only knew now much you where loved by so many. Drugs are hard to beat and I know there where times you really tried. You will be missed by so many. RIP Dear Matt.
