  11. Steve Maynard says:

Mike has been a great friend of mine for 57 years, and I’ve not known anyone more friendly or more devoid of ego. He was a favorite bright star at Bellevue High School and served his 1968 fellow classmates as their president with distinction and humility and always with good-natured humor. He laughed and loved much and often, and lived a godly Christian life.

He will certainly be missed by me and many others whose hearts are broken for now, until that Day.
Prayers and sympathy to his family of brothers Kenny, Paul, and Randy, and nieces and nephews, and to his daughter and granddaughter.

I hate to hear this…especially that he had to fight cancer. I worked with Mike a lot when I first started here at Nashville Electric Service. He was one of the great ones. Mike always had a great attitude and created a positive atmosphere in our group. He was always whistling while he worked. He always set the example and would never ask anyone to do something that he would not do himself. Mike did not have to tell me he was a Christian; I could tell it be his actions and how he lived every day. I’m so glad he got to spend time with his Dad and family after his retirement. Prayers of comfort and peace for his family.

  15. Deborah Durrett says:

Mike’s passing is much too soon. We seem to arrived at an age where we are saying many good byes to people who have been a part of our lives: our history. Mike was a magnet for me, one I gravitated to, constantly reminding me of my very happy days as an Owl at Bellevue Highschool. I will miss him..

An old BHS friend. Mike was a good man who always had a good word for everyone. I never remember a time when there wasn’t a smile on his face. He leaves an empty place in all our lives and hearts that can’t be filled except with the memories of good times from our past. Rest in peace old friend, I know you’re now singing God’s praises and worshiping at His throne.

  18. Donna Ethridge Silva says:
