Yes, from what we knew about you several years ago
We thought you were a great guy and then we knew you were because you were like Shannon’s real Dad and little Carly was just beginning to know her Papaw! I know how much Shannon thought of you; she told us the last time she visited us that you were more like a real Dad than anyone as you were always there for her to guide her and teach her values. We know she is devatstated because you were her Dad! May you Rest In Peace Rick and may God bless your family, your partner in life, and Shannon and herfamily!

I also want to personally acknowledge Rhonda, I never forget when someone is nice to me, and I remember you were! From what I saw you are a beautiful smart funny woman who I’m sure warmed Ricks heart and kept him on his toes, I know he wouldn’t have had just anyone by his side, and to all of his siblings i never had the pleasure, but my condolences to all of you as well♡

Rick, I can’t begin to tell you how incredibly sad I’ve been since hearing of your passing. I’ve known you for 40 years and for 13 of those years, I was proud to be your wife. I’ve been over those 13 years many times in the past 2 days and it was all pretty good. I’m gonna really gonna miss you not being on this earth. Shannon, I am so sorry that you had to lose your Dad. I know that he loved you very much and he was so proud of Carly. The last time I saw Rick, all he could was talk about was her and he showed me all the pics on his phone of her. You be sure and tell her that her Papaw was crazy about her. Rick was one of the good ones and he will be missed by so many people.

We are all hurting so much. Someone in Nashville said that Rick was so cool. Those may seem like simple words but they are so true. He was smart, hard working, easy going, generous and so much fun to be with. He was cool! To Shannon and Daniel and Rhonda…I feel your pain.
