Our heartfelt prayers go out to Mary and all of Sam’s Children, Grandchildren and Great Great Children. Sam was a very good man and a friend to all he met. We thought a lot of Sam as he always had a hug and smile whenever we saw him. He is now getting his Heavenly Reward as he was a Man of God and spoke the gospel to all who would listen.
RIP Sam – you will be missed.

Sam Jones a wonderful friend and man of God. His greatest expression of love and caring was to share his testimony and love of his savior Jesus Christ which he was pleased to do whenever the opportunity arose. Rest in peace dear friend.

Uncle Sam, my thoughts and prayers are with aunt Mary and all of your family. I know you were loved by many and no one could be near you and not know you loved our Lord and that is what gives us comfort in this time of loss here but confidence and peace knowing we will be with you again someday soon. It is refreshing to read the testimonies of your friends posted here and confirming you kept the faith. I love you and all our family….

  11. Don Evans says:

Sam was respected by all of his golfing buddies. Many times he would stop all of us and extend a prayer for someone in need. He would share a persons problem and even ask for donations at times for a person in need. Sam had a heart for the lost and many times would pull me aside and ask for me to pray with him over someone. I respected Sam for his personal conviction and he lived what he preached. Sam will be sorely missed.

To the Family, so sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Sam has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God’s Kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ. I had sent a card, I believe, to Sam’s address recently, and it came back. I thought Sam just was unable to respond. Then I “Googled” his name on the computer and was very sorry to see that he had passed away over a year ago. Sam appeared to me in my dream a few nights ago, I believe, and he told me he loved me, and I told him I loved him also. So I thought the Lord wanted me to contact him. I was mourning today. Many times Sam encouraged me over the phone regarding San Francisco. It is so hard to see people literally killing themselves on the streets with intravenous drugs, and the City often lets them do it. It was hard to survive the “Hotel California.” I believe Sam’s prayers and the encouragement and pastors and churches helped a lot. Sam kept after me to learn the guitar, and, lo and behold, I finally got to the point where I could accompany myself, and I have played Christian songs on the street many times. Sam encouraged me in singing and preaching. Sam was faithful over the years to send “ministry money” for my missionary support. I have not done as good a job in the ministry as I would have liked, but I have not forgotten that Abraham and Sarah had to wait until they were seniors to fulfill His promise to them. I am still expecting the
Red Sea to part and the Lord to let me see the Promised Land! Sam is with His Lord, and his passing spurs me on to share the gospel!!
