Words cannot describe what a loss has occured with the news of the passing of David Sparks. “Sparks” and I were childhood friends, and had many a fine moment as young adults here in Nashville. Angie has always been such a beautiful person, and I was lucky enough to get to meet all their children at one stage or another of their lives. I have always considered David one of my very best friends, and he and I spent what seemed like several hours together this past September 2010, when he came by my gym to discuss the unexpected passing of another of our dear friends, John Glenn. David was always the most stand up person I have ever known, a man of his word, a great father, and a friend for over 30 years. God bless all his family. Heaven has another brilliant -sparkling star looking down over us all – Rest in peace my brother.
