My family loved Thomas so much from the first time we met him. Such a special young man, and always so positive whenever I saw him. I loved being friends with him on Facebook and seeing his posts. He was so talented on the guitar. I will always cherish the memories of my son, Brett, and Thomas and our families at the baseball park their senior year at Bremen High School (Georgia). Our hearts and prayers go out to the family.

My sincere condolences to the family. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer, faith and hope in God’s promises. In his word the bible, God promises to soon bring our loved ones back to life again and remove all suffering and death forever- Acts 24:15 and Revelation 21:3-5. At that time humans will live in perfect health and in peace on a paradise earth- Psalms 37:29. Numbers 23:19 assures us that God does not tell lies and when He says something He will do it. May these promises bring hope and comfort to everyone while cherishing wonderful memories of Thomas. Please know that God cares for the family and will help all of you to cope during this grievous time. I hope that the family can find more bible based comfort in coping with grief and the days ahead by visiting jw.org. In the search box please type: Is there hope for the dead video. The family will be in my prayers.

    Tom and family,

While the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when anticipated, it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us too soon and so quickly. Your loss of your son who has left at such a youthful age is definitely in the category of those hard losses for which there is so painful a reminder of what might have been. I was introduced to Thomas’ talent right before Christmas 2017 when Tom showed me videos of him playing. I was in awe of the talent that young man had!! So much to be proud of. I offer my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy for your loss. May the outpouring of sympathy, the kind acts of friends and strangers and the comfort in knowing that your loss is felt by many, help you through this difficult time.

I ask for God’s blessings on you and your wonderful family. May you find the courage and strength to move forward in peace and confidence and in knowing that his was a life well-lived.

    Yours In Peace,

    Stephanie Stephens

“True, death brings sorrow and tears, and it is hard to adjust to the absence of a loved one. But what comfort and strength we gain from the assurance that the Sovereign Lord Jehovah “will actually swallow up death forever, and . . . will certainly wipe the tears from all faces”!
