I loved Vickie and now all the memories of working together at Hillsboro are flooding my heart. We ate lunch together almost daily and laughed together as she shared Sarah Beth and Catherine stories. Although I didn’t get to see Vickie often after Hillsboro, I carry her in my heart always. God bless her precious family!

Vaughn, you and your family are in our prayers. This world won’t be the same without Vickie’s light hearted laugh and sweet nature. I know you will all miss her terribly. Vickie loved her family beyond belief, and she loved her puppy dog too. Her stories about the family and the grandkids coming over to eat breakfast at your house always warmed my heart. How blessed you all have been! May comfort and peace be with you.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to all the Hawkins family at the loss of such a kind and beautiful person. I ran into Vickie last summer at downtown Farmers Market and we caught up on our families and “boys”. We had such good memories of those years Jim & Chris played ball together. The Hawkins family remains my most favorite memory of my years attending River Road Church of Christ. May of the love of family and friends comfort you now and in times to come. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
