Brenda, I am grieving with you and for you at this time. I pray that God wraps his literal arms around you at this time through your friends and family. I send you this scripture since it is the one God gave me in my time of turmoil. Jeremiah 29:11-13 , ” For I know the plans I have for you,? declares the Lord, ??plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” I love you and hope to be able to hug your neck sometime soon when you come visit SA again. Our tradition at Jim’s still stands! :

A friend on Twitter and briefly, in real life. The Interior Design community is one star short with Billy’s passing. I’ll miss having a fellow man in sarcasm. Thank you for sharing Billy with us.

  18. Barbara Elza Hirsch says:

It May seem strange to some but here on Twitter, we are a community of sorts. Designers were all fond of Billy.
Billy, you brightened up our #intesignerchat chats I remember when you posted a wonderfully sweet avatar during one chat. You always had thoughtful comments, showed good humor and demonstrated true generosity in your actions. My thoughts and prayers go to your family and loved ones. Deepest condolences.

  19. DeAnna Mackensen says:

Billy, you made a huge impression on fellow interior designers across the world on #intdesignerchat on Twitter. God bless.

  20. Darleen Laningham says:

I knew Billy from the Interior Design community on Twitter. His kind, sweet, inspiring, and funny tweets during our design chats were highlights of our Tuesday afternoon talks. Billy’s zest for life, love of his family, and his fine example of a Southern Gentleman impressed me often through 140 characters. I love the music of Glen Campbell, and tweeted an article about the performer’s recent concert. Billy tweeted me a stirring video of a vintage Glen Campbell performance. The time he took to find the footage and share it with me touched my heart, and it defined the gracious soul of the man I never met in real life, but have such respect for and will truly miss.

I am sorry for your loss, and pray God’s grace and peace will comfort you all at this difficult and trying time.

Having just returned from a trip, I am shocked and saddened to hear of Billy’s sudden passing. Although our paths crossed many times as designers and west Nashville neighbors, it was only in the last year that we became friends. I enjoyed his witty banter online and off, respected his knowledge and enthusiasm for design, and I was looking forward to fulfilling his request to help him procure supplies for his treasured cause.

I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to his family and to his wide collection of friends. My heart breaks for your loss. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
