Alice Faye Kelly

January 22, 1951 — June 20, 2024

Nashville

Alice Faye Kelly, 73, of Nashville, Tennessee crossed over to her next journey on the Summer Solstice, June 20, 2024 after a short, but fierce battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, best friend, and much-loved business manager.

Born in Latrobe, PA and raised in Elyria, Ohio, she got her start in accounting, working in her family’s construction business in the sixties. In the early eighties, she and her family purchased a campground in Nova, Ohio, where she got her start in the music business. She booked shows for the family’s campground, and even started a small record label signing small local artists. In the nineties she began attending Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, TN, where a chance meeting in a restroom changed the course of her life, along with a lot of other lives. She moved to Nashville in January of 1994, where she worked for business managers before eventually starting her own business management and bookkeeping firm, AKA Company in the spring of 1995.

Alice was a lover of all arts. She was a founding board member for Actor’s Bridge Ensemble and served as treasurer for over a decade. She even made a few appearances in Actor’s Bridge productions over the years. She traveled to NYC several times to see productions on Broadway, along with visiting art exhibits and museums. Alice loved Vincent van Gogh, and traveled to see exhibits wherever his art was on display.

She also enjoyed traveling, making trips to Ireland and Italy, as well as various trips in the US. Including several trips to see her favorite, Bruce Springsteen on tour.

Alice was also an avid hiker. She logged more than 225 miles on the Appalachian Trail, over 3 trips. She enjoyed walking regularly with her close friend and client. The day after she was diagnosed with cancer, she and her friend walked over 3 miles…so Alice!

For anyone who knew her, they knew how well she cared for others. Even in her final days she was worrying about others. Those mourning her passing include son David Rothel, daughter Kristi Kelly, son-in-law Jim Lockhart, granddaughter Ashley Rothel and grandson Jack Lockhart, as well as family, numerous close friends and clients.

The family would like to thank the Vanderbilt Palliative Care Unit and Alive Hospice for the excellent care and love she received in the final weeks of her life.
