Benjamin “Ben” Yager Bowman, 36, of Nashville, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2026. Born in Inverness, Florida, Ben moved to Tennessee in his early 30’s where he became a cornerstone of an ever-growing community.
Ben was a man defined by his love for Jesus, for his wife and daughter, and for people. He was a loving husband, incredible father, and devoted friend. He was strong and disciplined, always pushing himself, finding new challenges to conquer, and calling others higher. Yet at the same time, he was gentle, patient, and tender, especially with his girls, his greatest joy.
Ben lived his faith out loud and in action. He founded and led a growing Christian men’s group, mentoring and strengthening men in their walk with Christ in everyday life. He constantly challenged those around him to grow in mind, body, and spirit, often reminding them by example to be one percent better than yesterday. Anyone who met him left his presence encouraged.
He dedicated his life to serving others. As founder and CEO of For The Veteran, Ben worked tirelessly to support and uplift veterans. He also partnered with Destiny Rescue in the fight against child human trafficking, a mission that deeply burdened his heart. Through conversations, mentorship, and friendship, Ben led countless people to Christ. Heaven is fuller because he lived. But despite all he accomplished, recognition never mattered to him. Loving people well did.
He is survived by his beloved wife Madison Paige Bowman; his daughter Margot June Bowman; his mother, Elsie Bowman (Tre); his brother, Bobby Bowman (Cel Bowman); his sister Mandy Hall (Jason); and four nephews, Tyler, Grayson, Daniel, and Josiah. He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Bowman.
Ben’s life was not measured in years but in impact. His legacy continues in every person he encouraged and every life he pointed toward Christ.
He will be deeply missed by countless people, but we find comfort in knowing exactly where he is. We trust he is helping prepare a place for us and strategizing alongside Jesus on how to get more people home.
If Ben were here he’d be telling us that God is not surprised by this, and that now it’s our turn to live out what He’s taught us. And, of course... “Go Gators”
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Ben to Destiny Rescue.
