This gorgeous, amazing woman is with Jesus and her beloved Donald (AKA Grumpy). She was always so vibrant and had such an influence on us all. She loved Jesus. She was an artist, she did tai chi into her 70s and 80s, she loved hiking and flowers, she got up every morning before dawn and walked a mile. Betty sang in the choir at St. Johns United Methodist Church for decades, often played the piano for services, and volunteered at the church for many events and programs, including feeding the homeless. She spent her later years enjoying the warmth and love of the people at West Meade Fellowship.
Betty Ann was married 65 years and is survived by her two daughters, Sandra (David) Wood and Libby (Roger) Hampton, 8 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren
Betty Ann began her career as secretary at Nashville Linen, went on to the Methodist publishing House, and later served many years in the Psychology Department at Peabody College. Her last working years were spent supporting her sweet Donald as bookkeeper and delivery boy for West Side Auto Parts.
She was a creative, vivacious Mama and Grammy and kept a warm inviting home that friends loved to visit. We are all so happy that she got her wish to finally go to heaven and be with her husband, her family, and most of all she gets to see Jesus! She will be sorely missed.
