Celeste Neil

Mary "Celeste" Neil, 70, of Nashville, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. She was born on May 30, 1952, to the late James B and Betty De Knoblough Short.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Johnson; and son, Randy Fields.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, William "Bill" Neil; sons, Alton (Alicia) Fields of Lebanon and Ron Johnson of Florida; sister, Linda Chapman of Mississippi; aunt, Mary De Knoblough; cousin, Jeannie Butler; grandson, Phillip Fields; granddaughters, Heather, Hillary, Michelle, and Deanna; and great-grandson, Ayden Fields; daughter-in-law, Melissa Adams;

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00AM with Reverend Dan Dozier officiating. The burial will take place at 2:00PM on Monday at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Please join us at the Rotunda at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery no later than 2:00PM.
