46-year-old Cindy Vaughn of Smithville died Sunday, March 1st at her residence of natural causes. A memorial service is scheduled Saturday, March 7th at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Smithville. Visitation with the family will be from Noon until 2:00.

A native of Smithville, she was a graduate of DeKalb County High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. At age 11, she professed faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord...as was baptized as a member of Covenant Baptist Church.

Cindy was the daughter of Ralph E. Vaughn of Nashville and the late Betty Sue Driver Vaughn of Smithville. In addition to her mother, Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents - Robert and Lorene Driver of Alexandria; J.D. and Betty Vaughn Wilson and C.W. Wilson of Smithville.

Survivors include her father, Ralph (June) Vaughn of Nashville; brother, Randy (Natasha) Vaughn; nephew, Drake (Amanda) Vaughn; niece, Ellie Vaughn; great niece, Amelia Vaughn; and special friend, Rex Elder, all of Smithville.

To honor Cindy's memory, memorials may be made in her name to the DeKalb Animal Coalition or Lighthouse Christian Camp.
