Daniel Gerard Philippi, age 64, passed away peacefully at his home on October 22nd, 2026.

He is preceded in death by his parents Wilfred & Genevieve Philippi of St Augusta, MN.

With heavy hearts, Dan is survived by his loving husband, Jeff Cathey, and stepson Justin (Amy) Cathey; his brothers Bruce (Gloria) Philippi, Randy Philippi, and Brad (Jeane) Philippi; his step granddaughters Reece Cathey, Nora Brown, Sadie Cathey, and Madelyn Brown; nephew Chase Philippi and niece Holly Gustner; as well as many dear friends, whom cannot all be listed.

Dan was a private man, who cared deeply about his peace, and maintaining close friendships with those around him. Apart of creating his peace, was taking care of his garden. From the birdhouses and well-kept flower beds about his house, he took special pride in attracting the local birds.

Though his family deeply mourns his passing, they celebrate a life well lived, and the strength, kindness, and fun memories he has passed down.
