Daniel Albert Therrien, 53, of River Rd., Nashville, TN died Tuesday August 11, 2015.
He was born on October 7, 1961 in Lewiston, Maine, the son of Pauline Anctil Therrien Houle Cote and the late Albert Therrien Jr.
Daniel graduated from Lewiston High School in 1980 and joined the United States Air Force in February 1981. He served as a crew chief for F5E fighter aircraft on Clark Air Base, Philippines; then transferred to Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona. He left the Air Force in October 1985 and returned home to Lewiston to begin a career in carpentry with Morton Builders.
Daniel was supremely talented in carpentry, music and art.
Daniel was raised as a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lewiston, Maine. He then became a life-long member of New Auburn Baptist Church, where he served as a fellow of the Music Worship Team. Upon moving to Nashville, Daniel enjoyed attending Hope Park Church in Nashville, TN with his family.
He was unwavering in his love for Jesus Christ. Daniel's faith was the foundation of his life. His conviction to God and his love for his children and family was profoundly evident to all who knew and loved him.
Despite his affliction with Multiple Sclerosis over the last 20 years, he remained an eternal optimist and did not let his circumstances define him.
Daniel was predeceased by his father Albert Therrien Jr. and step-father Reginald E. Houle. He is survived by his mother Pauline Anctil Therrien Houle Cote and step-father Roland Cote; his daughters, Robin Freeland (Brian), Amy Lytle (Cody), and son Justin; his grandchildren Brianna, Benjamin, Samuel, Parker, and Jayla; brothers John Therrien, Timothy Houle (Courtney), Brian Houle and sisters Deborah Therrien Carpenter and Sandra Houle Zaccari (James); guardian angels Sheila Earls and Patricia Rudisill; and additional loving family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service with internment will take place in Lewiston, Maine at New Auburn Baptist Church and St. Peter's Cemetery.
