Donna Gray

Mrs. Donna Louise Hewitt Gray, age 76, of Nashville, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 24, 2014.

Donna was a graduate of WCA Hostpital in Jamestown, New York where she earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Donna devoted her life to her faith, her family and extensive friends. Donna worked as a registered nurse until she retired in 1998 from Alive Hospice, and during the course of her nursing career she comforted countless patients and families.

Donna left a legacy of compassion and kindness, often placing the needs of others before her own. She had a keen mind, and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed sewing and growing daylilies. The blessings she gave her family are still being counted.

Preceded in death by daughter, Brenda Lee Gray, mother, Edith Daugherty Hewitt, and Father, Wilfred Hewitt.
Survived by devoted husband, Dorian Gray; daughter Heidi Gray Breeding of Lebanon, TN; son Daren Gray of Spring Hill, TN; sister Judy Hewitt Wubbena and husband Jerry of S. Beloit, WI; brother James Hewitt and wife Elizabeth of Jamestown, NY; and grandchildren Katie Breeding and Colton Breeding of Lebanon, TN.

Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Woodmont Baptist Church, Nashville, TN. Interment will be at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
