Donna “Nanny” Lee Longuevan (Duffel), age 82, of Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 6, 2026.

Born and raised in West Nashville, Donna enjoyed her youth with her two siblings, Terry and Kathy, in Sylvan Park and graduated in 1962 from Cohn High School where she participated in choir.

In 1965, Donna married the love of her life, David Keith Longuevan I, and the two were able to together make their dreams of a large family a reality. In addition to family, Donna committed many years of employment to Vanderbilt University before ultimately retiring as a supervisor in her mid 60s. She proudly wore her Vanderbilt jacket well after retirement and enjoyed being a loyal supporter.

David loved Donna and drove her all over town until his last breath in 2013. Despite losing her soulmate, Donna was able to find happiness and peace in cooking, watching lifetime movies, and most of all her family. She enjoyed taking care of and spending every possible moment with her 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Her family was the most important thing to her and she unconditionally loved, supported, and guided them with her wisdom until her last breath.

She leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, strength, love, perseverance, and most of all, family. She touched many with her kindness, hospitality, and mentality that all were welcome.

She was preceded in death by husband, David Keith Longuevan I (“Black Papa”); mother, Ella “Jane” Campbell (Joy); father, Edward Duffel Jr.; brother, Terry Harris; and son, David Keith Longuevan II (Nicole). She is survived by sister, Kathy Johnson (Terry); children, Tonia Longuevan, Tish Ballard (Sean), Trish Brown, Kayla Lloyd (JC), and Gary Potts; grandchildren, Heaven Lee Anhalt, Lance Brown, Cross Ballard, and David Keith Longuevan III (“Deke”); great-grandchildren Autumn Lloyd, Meadow Lloyd, Brynlee Brown, Sage Hardin, and Bliss Cillo, as well as many other loved family and friends.

While we are happy she is reunited with her husband in Heaven and no longer suffering here on Earth, she will be dearly missed by all of those who knew her.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 20th, 2026, at 4 - 8 p.m. and Monday, August 24th, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at West Harpeth Funeral Home in West Nashville. Service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 24th, 2026 at West Harpeth Funeral Home in West Nashville. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Middle Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery on McCrory Lane.
