Dorothy King

Dorothy Laird King, born May 15, 1929, daughter of Clifton Botts and Ruth Bulla, stepdaughter of Roger Hay, former wife of Don King, mother of Rick, David, Roger, and Clif; mother-in-law of Terry, Hajdi, and Terry; grandmother of Devon, Asher, Rachael, Emily, Lucy, Darren, Adam, and Mia; and great grandmother of Cole, Garrett, Hallie, Vincent, Violet, and Carl, passed peacefully from this earth early Saturday morning, March 30, 2019, late in her 90th year. A follower of mystics and savants, a carer for many cats, a bright light to all who knew her, she loved the dogwood and redbud that were beginning to color the woods around Nashville, her lifetime home, when she let go. We mourn her; we celebrate her.
