Dorothy Jean Hatchett

Dorothy Jean Hatchett “Dot” - Age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2021, with her son and granddaughter by her side. She was born on May 18, 1929, in Hickman County, TN.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert " Bob" Hatchett; parents, Elton & Addie Bradley; siblings, Paul Bradley, C.W. Bradley, and Oma Garland; her first cousin, Charlie Tarkington.

She is survived by her son, Rob Hatchett; granddaughter, Rachel Marie Hatchett; and a host of extended family members.

Dorothy retired after 38 years of dedicated service from Brookmeade Elementary School. She was a longtime member of Pennsylvania Avenue Church of Christ then in her latter years a member of Charlotte Avenue and Charlotte Heights Church of Christ.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and caregivers of Traditions of Mill Creek in Brentwood for their loving care, especially Mrs. Sherry Lee.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at 2PM, at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Charlotte with Darrell Blakenship officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 12PM until the service time at 2PM, both at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
