Evelyn Marie Tanksley of Nashville DOB 12-10-1924 DOD 5-28-2016 Evelyn was 91 years old. She was born in Nashville, TN. Evelyn was an extraordinary woman. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife of a career military husband and mother of five children. Evelyn was preceded in death by husband, Albert Rea Tanksley; son, Steven Tanksley; parents, Luther and Emma Soapes; brothers, Leonard, Kenneth (Pat), James (Beulah), Buford and sisters, Mary Catherine and Virginia. Evelyn is survived by her children, Penny Franks (Jerry), Randy Tanksley (Peggy), Deena Bruce, Lisa Sposa (Douglas); grandchildren, Alan Franks (Meg), Michael Franks, Cory Bruce (Kristy), Lauren Sposa; great-grandchildren, Cammie, Emily, Matt, Hunter and Emma. Visitation will be on Thursday June 2nd from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at West Harpeth Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00am on Friday June 3rd at West Harpeth Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00am until the service time. Interment will follow at Nashville National Cemetery in Madison, TN.
