Gail Allen Hooper

Gail Allen Hooper, 75 of Nashville, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her home. She was born in Nashville on September 30, 1948. She was raised by her late father, Thomas Wiley Allen. Gail graduated from Hume-Fogg High School and was employed for many years by the Department of Agriculture’s ASCS office in Nashville. Gail married her husband, Ronald L. Hooper, Sr., on July 27, 1968, and was a proud mother who dedicated her life to caring for her special needs son, Ronnie. Gail enjoyed the outdoors and watching the deer on her property. She also enjoyed working on projects with her son and serving with the Special Olympics.

Gail is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Hooper, Sr., and her special son, Ronnie Hooper.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 11:00AM until 12:00PM. Services will begin at 12:00PM on Thursday. Following the service, Gail will be laid to rest in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on McCrory Lane in Nashville.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Bruce Richards for the loving care he provided to Gail over the past 35 years, even coming to Gail’s home in her final days.
