Georgia R. Carruth, 81, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Carruth.

Georgia is survived by two daughters, Amy Brown (Mike) and Karen Luttrell (Dan), seven grandchildren, Michael Brown, Matthew Brown, Reagan Barber, Britain Barber, Nate Luttrell, Luke Luttrell, and Glen Luttrell, and three great-grandchildren, Paislee Brown, Daisy Barber, and Ripley Barber.

She is a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. A lifelong lover of beauty in all its forms, Georgia found joy in her garden, where she spent countless hours nurturing blooms that reflected her warmth and care. She cherished time with her grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and laughter, and delighted in antiquing adventures that fed her keen eye for history and charm.

Georgia earned her master’s degree from Vanderbilt University, a testament to her lifelong passion for learning. Her greatest achievement was starting the hospice program at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville where she used her talents to provide high-quality care for Veterans and their families. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

The family cordially invites relatives and friends to visit on Thursday, May 22nd from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening at West Harpeth Funeral Home and Crematory, 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. The family will have a private Celebration of Life service at a later date.
