Jacky Wayne Stephens 81 of Nashville, passed away peacefully at home with Jean his loving wife of 51 years by his side Monday March 11, 2024.  Jacky was born June 23, 1942 in Scotts Hill, TN to the late James Kenneth and Pauline Robbins Stephens.  His faithful family served as founding members of the First United Pentecostal Church in Nashville.  Jacky was a graduate of Cohn High School.  He retired at 59, from UPS after 30 dedicated years of service.  Throughout his life, Jacky was a gifted athlete.  He excelled in bowling and golf.  Jacky also loved watching sports as much as playing.   He spent most every weekend during football season watching his Tennessee Titans.  Year round Jacky was an avid Vanderbilt fan.  He spent 15 years driving the bus for Vanderbilt sports, most of which was for the baseball team.  He loved Coach Corbin and all his VandyBoys!!! Some close friends Jacky also enjoyed spending time where his buddies at the Moose Lodge.  Jacky was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. And Mrs. James Kenneth Stephens, and a sister, Linda Curtis.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife Jean, children, Michael (Tina) Stephens of Olive Branch, MS, Tonja (David) Reid of Germantown, TN and Jamie (Chris) Ladd of Nolensville, TN; brother Jerry Donald (Sherry) Stephens; grandchildren, Jessica Stephens, Ryan Stephens, William Reid, Rachel Stephens, Matthew Reid, Andrew Reid, Caymin Ladd, Carson Ladd, and Josie Ladd, and a great granddaughter, Collyn Rogers.  The family will receive friends from 10am until 1pm on Monday, March 18, 2024 at First United Pentecostal Church of Nashville located at 7512 Charlotte Pike, Nashville.  A Celebration of Jacky’s Life will begin at 1pm.  Following the service, Jacky will be laid to rest in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Live Hospice of Nashville.
