Nashville - Jean Marie Sexton, of Nashville, TN passed away November 12, 2020 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her parents Powhattan Bowling Sexton and Sallie Newson Dozier Sexton; her siblings, Powhattan Bowling Sexton, Jr., Margaret Gleaves, Melvin Sexton, Sarah Callis, Frederica Newman, Warren Sexton, and niece Carolyn Callis.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Dr. James Gleaves, Jr., Ann Ferrell, Michael Newman, David Newman, Stephen Sexton, Karen Strong, Sandra Goolsby, their spouses and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews and cousins. Ms. Sexton was a career employee of BellSouth Telephone Company until her retirement, and a proud lifetime resident of West Nashville. She loved to sew and tend to her flower and vegetable gardens.

Visitation for Ms. Sexton will be on Tuesday, November 17, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service at 11:00 at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN. The pallbearers will be Dr. James Gleaves, Jr., Michael Newman, David Newman, Stephen Sexton, Conway Stockton and Larry Tanksley.
