James C. Catron, Sr. (Jim), 87 passed away surrounded by family on May 13, 2025. He was born on June 2, 1937, in Ridgedale community, Cumberland County, TN. James was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Merle; brother, Lyle; daughter, Karen; sons Chip (Malinda) and Shawn (Lori); grandchildren Chad, Brittany, Hunter (Jaden) and Sydney; great grandson, Beckett.
The family will receive friends from 11:30AM until 2:00PM on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Bellevue Baptist Church located at 7400 US-70S in Nashville. A Celebration of Jim’s Life will begin at 2:00PM in the Church with Brother Mike Shelton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Bellevue Baptist and Alive Hospice.
