JoAnn Austin, of Scottsville, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the age of 68 at her home. She was born in Nashville, TN on December 28, 1950 to the late Charles E. Taylor and Josephine Smithey Taylor.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister.
JoAnn is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles E. Austin; her children Charles Tera Shepherd, Tabatha "Missy" Austin, and Timothy Austin. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one sister, Brenda Allen(Larry), and a host of nieces and nephews and many extended family members.
JoAnn was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was a longtime resident of West Nashville and worked for Tennessee Tufting/Springs Global Industries for 35 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at West Harpeth Funeral Home in Nashville at 1:30pm. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of service, also at the funeral home. JoAnn will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville.
