He was a resident of Dickson TN. He is survived by his father Johnnie Dotson (Dickson, TN) and his mother Karen Metzler (Oregon). His wife and best friend Kathy Dotson and his children Jeremy, Heather Cole(Dalton), Kim Ballew (Derek), Kristi (Bryson), Samantha Dorn (Travis) as well as many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and grandchildren Remi, Ruger, Ayden, Braxton, Madison, Annabelle, Weston, Trevor, and Addilynn He was an amazing husband, father, pawpaw and friend to all. He was a long term employee of American Paper and Twine as a truck driver. He enjoyed spending time outside, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his beloved family. JD was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back. he would face problems head on even beating cancer. A Memorial Service will be held 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and on Friday from 12:30 p.m. -2:30 p.m. at West Harpeth. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Ride Free.
