John Robert Radford, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026. He was born on October 12, 1940, in Nashville.
John was a businessman and entrepreneur who built a career through determination and vision. He owned his own electric contracting company, Automatic Electric, Inc, and was known as a hardworking and disciplined man.
His dedication to public service was equally important to him. John was one of the first aldermen of Pegram, Tennessee, and was instrumental in the incorporation of the city itself. Through both business and civic life, he made a lasting contribution to the people and places around him.
Outside of work, John was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing. He loved being outdoors and found joy in time spent in nature. Those who knew him will remember him as a caretaker who loved his family deeply.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Roland Radford; his parents, Tabler and Emma Radford; and his siblings, Fred Radford, Sarah Radford, TJ Radford, Helen Farmer, Betty Parker, and Maurice Radford.
He is survived by his daughters, Lori Howard and Rai Lynne Radford. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Holly Davis, Natalie Davis Marshall, Jeffrey Neely Jr., and Emma Neely, as well as his great-granddaughter, Leilani Neely. His family was a central part of his life, and his love for them was clear in the way he lived and cared for those around him. He will be greatly missed.
