He is survived by his wife, Maria Torres Gutierrez; his three daughters, Diana Gomez, Vanessa Gomez, and Brenda Gomez; his grandchild, Dylan De Avila Gomez; siblings, Rogelio Gomez Mendez, Jorge Gomez Mendez, Marcelino Gomez Mendez, Martha Gomez Mendez, Ma Magdalena Gomez Mendez, Rosalba Gomez Mendez, Maria Trinidad Gomez Mendez, Jose de Jesus Gomez Mendez, Miguel Angel Gomez Mendez; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 10AM, at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 5PM until 7PM, at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Charlotte Pike.
