Joseph Frank Lowrey of Madison, TN passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Skyline Medical Center at the age of 71. He was born on May 22, 1947 in Nashville, TN to the late M. Frank Lowrey and Lena Lowrey.
Along with his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his brother, James Lowrey.
Joe is survived by his wife of 12 years, Cindy Lee Lowrey; his children, Julie Marie Lowrey and Jena Napier; and step-children, Steven Dee Martin(Katherine), Aaron Matthew Martin(Mary Elizabeth), and Angia Lee Foster(David Joshua). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and his brother Jack Grant Lowrey(Judith).
Joe was a member of cornerstone church. He had a love for hot rods and drag racing, which led him to a successful career at Tennessee Speed Sport, where he would eventually retire.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:00am at West Harpeth Funeral Home and Crematory in Nashville, TN. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, May 9, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Friday an hour prior to the service.
