Joyce Hicks

Joyce Mae Hicks, 81, of Nashville, TN, passed away on June 5, 2023. Joyce was born in Nashville on January 19, 1942, to the late A.B. Forrest and Annie Mae King White. Joyce enjoyed helping others. She was a member of Richland Freewill Baptist Church and was recently baptized. Joyce will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Hicks; brothers, Virgil and Charles White; and sister, Neva White.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Nelson Hicks; grandson, Charles Hicks; brother, Pat White; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and close friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 1:00PM on Monday, June 12, 2023, at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Services will begin at 1:00PM in the West Harpeth Chapel with Dr. Stanley Outlaw officiating. Following the services, Joyce will be laid to rest in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
