Mary Ann Johnson, born on Friday February 14, 1936 in Atwood, TN has peacefully passed away on Thursday June 4, 2020 in Nashville, TN. She was 84 years old.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years Walter Johnson, Mary Ann is survived by her daughters Connie Gwinn (Ricky), Melinda Calvert (Greg); grandchildren Jessica Gwinn Shepard (Chris), Andy Gwinn (Lauren), Anna Claire Calvert, Ellie Calvert; great-grandchildren Levi Shepard and Walker Shepard.

A member of the Charlotte Heights Church of Christ, Mary Ann was well-liked among her community. Devotion to family was important to Mary Ann and with her welcoming heart; she made sure folks that come to visit never went hungry. Known for her amazing pimento cheese recipe, which she would happily share with anyone that asked for it, Mary Ann could brighten a room with her glowing kindness. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.

The family would like to send special thanks to The Lodge at Natchez Trace and Alive Hospice for their kindness, care and compassion while caring for Mrs. Johnson.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 5 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the West Harpeth Funeral Home Celebration Hall with Kory Crow officiating chapel services beginning at 1:30pm. Interment will follow with a procession to Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with graveside services at 3:00pm.

Serving as Pall Bearers are Ricky Gwinn, Greg Calvert, Chris Shepard, and Andy Gwinn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in memory of Mary Ann Johnson to Charlotte Heights Church of Christ.
