Melvin Bess- Age 68, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2016. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Myrtle Bess; one sister and five brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Bess; son, Lee Bess; daughter, Lisa Bess; stepsons, Donnie (Heather) Anderson and Chris (Jamie ) Collier; stepdaughters, Tabatha (Billy) Pritchett and Leila (Billy) Jenks; seventeen grandchildren; one great grandson; sister, Shirley (Arnold) Rickert; numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 1:00pm, at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00pm until 8:00pm and Tuesday from 10:00am until service time at 1:00pm at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
