Monte Ewing Manor, Jr., “My Young Marine” – age 74, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at his home in Lafayette, TN.

Mr. Manor was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Dean Manor; daughter, Rhonda Leaster; and great-granddaughter, Alicanna Cox.

Survived by daughter, Teresa Vie Shaw (Kevin); grandchildren, Richard Cox (Twila), Melinda Cox, Monte “Bodean” Cox, Tasha Lane (Rickey), Crystal Martinez (Saul), and Brittany Leaster; great-grandchildren, Jacob Moore, Shelby Moore, Michael Moore, Christopher Cox, Jr., Kevin Cox, Jonathan Cox, Troy Cox, Axl Cox, Zackery Leaster, Jasmine Corlew, Andreanna Corlew, Selena Martinez, Sylvia Martinez, Shealyn Martinez, and William Leaster.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at West Harpeth Funeral Home located at 6962 Charlotte Pike in Nashville. Additional visitation will be held at West Harpeth Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 9:00AM until 12:00PM with services beginning at 12:00PM in the chapel. Following the service, Monte will be laid to rest in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Moore, Michael Moore, Axl Cox, Richard Cox, Monte “Bodean” Cox, Kevin Shaw, Charles Lane, and Timothy Noles.
