Nellie Joyce Griffin Fortner- Age 86, entered into the arms of her Savior on Thursday, April 18, 2019. She is preceded in death by husband, Elbert Raymond Fortner. Survived by children, Betty Fortner Tyree, Raymond Talmage Fortner (Sharon), Pam Martin (Wayne), and Steve Fortner; grandchildren, Mark Tyree (Loretta), Cindy Boyd (Jason), Robert Martin, Jamie Martin (Kevin), and Kris Fortner (Krista), 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; siblings, Ernestine Simpson and James Griffin.
Mrs. Fortner was a long time member of the Westwood Baptist Church. A Celebration of her life will be on Monday, April 22, 2019, at 2:30pm, at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Hammer and Bro. Jerry Foust officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be Monday from 10:00am until the service time at 2:30pm at West Harpeth Funeral Home.
