It’s with tender, loving and grateful remembrance that we honor Nirmala Jayant Joshi, who passed away in Nashville on June 16, 2024, having blessed our world for just over 90 years.

 Nima was born in 1933 in Pune, India and immigrated to the U.S. in 1959. Along with her husband, Jayant, she raised two beautiful children, Madhuri and Manju, who both survive Nima along with their families.

 Nima was a courageous, gentle soul who touched everyone she knew with her kindness, quiet disposition and often, gifts of wonderfully painted flowers and landscapes. She was a proud mother and an accomplished artist who bestowed a soft sense of humor and endless inspiration and friendship to those who knew her.

 Our lives were thoroughly enriched by her presence. While we feel the sting of sorrow and longing in her absence, we’re left with memories that shine as bright as her reassuring, enduring smile.

 You left this world with a piece of our hearts, dear Nima. May that strength carry you forward as your soul continues its journey.
