Richard Hobbs

Richard Wright Hobbs- Born November 28, 1945 in Nashville, TN, to Frank & Mae Helen Harris Hobbs, passed away October 5, 2018.

At the age of 3, the family moved to El Paso, Texas. He attended West Palm Beach Community College and graduated from Florida State University with a degree in finance. Richard worked briefly at First American Bank. He held various positions through the years, settling in Carrolton, Georgia, working for Southwire. There he obtained a degree in accounting from West Georgia College. Later, he moved back to Nashville to marry an old love (Mary Katherine Pickard) on May 30, 2003.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Mary K. Pickard; 2 daughters, Emily Hobbs (George White) of Mountain View, CA, and Elizabeth Rainbuix (Brandon) of Ridgefield, CN; 4 grandchildren, Morgan and Jacqueline, Dylan and Ethan; sister, Linda Brown (Steve) of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Bill Hobbs, of Houston, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve; sister, Rosemary; his infant brother and his infant son, Frank.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 12:00pm, in the Garden of Serenity, at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
